I pay $200/mo for ACTUAL 2MB speeds, sitting about 20 feet from router which is in middle of house with no obstructions between me and it. Supposed to be download speeds "UP TO 100 Mbps", and all plans only have upload speeds "UP TO 3Mbps". Its the "best" plan they have and still doesnt work - but I have to have it because I do video conference calls for work, and all of the other plans end up throttling me. Worst internet provider I've ever had. I have a cheap Verizon mifi hotspot for backup. I'd use the Mifi primarily if Verizon service wasnt choppy out here. As soon as Starlink hits my area this year I'm cancelling Viasat, regardless of what I owe in the contract - it's not worth the constant irritation. It's too slow to update files in the cloud - times out before it updates. Terrible for work video meetings - have to do them with video off, or, if I have video on my coworkers are used to me freezing and/or my screen sharing taking a minute or so to load for them. Its horrific.

Terrible, I had to restart my modem 2-3X a week. They would never send a technician out or send me a new modem because it would work after restarting. Speed is almost worthless for movies. You can watch about 2 movies a month before you are "out" of high speed data. When I called to shut it off they nailed me with an early termination fee that I never agreed to. So you will be charged monthly for a service that they will not provide, when you shut it off, they will charge you a lot more fees because you shut it off. Highly do NOT reccomend!

Do not use Viasat! The first satellite I had was used and got water in somewhere. Wouldn't work after the first rain. Find out the installer put a used one up as he made money that way. Second one worked most the time except with bad weather. My high speed lasted about 2 weeks. I use it for computer and phone. Minimal use. Couldn't stream... very slow, even at high-speed. They slow your internet, charge more for higher speed. I finally got Broadband. I called to cancel and they were rude jerks! I had to keep it for 2 more weeks. Though my other was hooked up. I said pro rate it. Guess what? They don't do that. Then they tell me to go on my roof to get the receiver. BTW.. I have to send it back or get charged 300.00. I used them for 3 years. Paid on time every time. Never complained or even called them. Seriously they are terrible.

Horrible! Customer Service is abysmal and they Lie, and tell you anything to get you off the phone. And EVERYTHING comes with an upcharge, even though it's their problem. I have monitored the speeds and have never gotten what is promised. They have 3rd party service people that came 3 times without the.proper orders (and an arrogant attitude) only to be told that I would have to pay 99.00 for additional" service" after having NO INTERNET for 14 days. AND they reuse to credit the days without service. I am Rural and they know choice is very limited so they Rip you off! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

It's a complete waste of time and money to use this company. They sell you high speed that is nothing more the 50mps and compared to most places slow. Then they tell you that once you use the data cap they slow you to standard speed. Let me tell you standard speed is less then AOL dial up. .03 mps is the highest we recorded.

Viasat company is a total ripoff. Had internet installed with them. I canceled service the next day cause it didn’t meet my expectations. They changed my bank account $372.52 disconnection fee. Come on an early disconnection fee less then day of service.
