Portland Residential Internet Coverage

In the coastal city of Portland, residents and businesses can choose the internet service plan that fits their budget and speed needs. This is due to the huge variety of ISPs that have Portland networks.

Cable service is accessible in all of Portland through Time Warner Spectrum. The service area expands well beyond the city limits, providing options to those in nearby suburban and rural areas. Covered neighborhoods include Riverton, Deering Junction, Rosemont, and Woodfords.

Networkmaine is also fairly established in Portland. This ISP brings coverage to communities as far north as Auburn, as far south as Stroudwater, as far west as Nason's Corner, and as far east as Peak's Island.

Both Axiom Technologies and FairPoint Communications have networks that extend beyond Portland's borders. Both providers have a network that serves all of Portland and expands to communities in the north, west, and south. One Communications boasts a similar network.

One of the most widespread networks in Portland is GWI. The coverage area of GWI reaches areas like downtown, Munjoy Hill, and Oakdale.

A handful of Portland neighborhoods enjoy reliable service through New Edge Networks. This ISP serves the neighborhoods of East End and Munjoy in the south.

Have not seen any increase in service just continual price increases. Speed varies on internet connection so much so some days that it is useless to even try to get anything done. Currently shopping for another option but market is limited here.

They blame our router/modem for our slow internet. The price keeps going up for our slow service. They know they have no one to compete against so customer service doesn't matter.
